Hi, I’m Lizzie – the photographer behind Luminosa Photography, a warm and welcoming maternity and newborn photography studio based in Leeds.
I specialise in creating timeless portraits for growing families — from glowing maternity sessions to tiny, delicate newborn portraits and beautiful baby milestones. My studio is home-based, calm and private, designed to help you feel completely comfortable from the moment you walk through the door.
Because when you’re trusting someone with your baby… comfort matters.
Your Baby’s Safety Comes First
As a trained and certified newborn photographer, your baby’s safety is always my highest priority. I hold a newborn safety certificate and have undertaken specialist training in safe posing, baby handling and studio practice.
Every pose is baby-led.
Every setup is secure.
Every session is calm and unhurried.
I never rush a newborn session. Feeding, soothing and cuddles are part of the experience. Your little one is treated with the same care and gentleness I would give my own family.

With well over a decade of portrait experience, professional lighting, expert posing guidance and soft, flattering styling, I will guide you every step of the way. You don’t need to know what to do — that’s my job.

In 2023, I achieved my first 2 Merits at international level at the SWPP convention and I wrote my first blog about the whole experience… have a look here!
In 2025, I won Family & Group Photographer of the Year with The Societies of Photographers. I also made the final of the International ICON awards in Las Vegas!.. this made me ecstatic enough but I then went on to secure 2nd place among THE best newborn photographers in the world!
My work has continued to receive multiple photography awards, and I am constantly investing in training to refine both my creative skills and safety knowledge.
